I tried to change some parametric EQ settings to boost some treble for IEM’s. I clicked on the High Shelf, which I liked, then played around with some of the settings. I don’t like what I did, but cannot seem to get back to the default for High Shelf. Is there a way to do this? I must be missing something.
If not, is there a list of the values for each default for the house settings so I can recreate them?
Try removing filter upper right. That will take EQ off the filter list lower left. Then re-add Parametric EQ to filter list lower left. You should now have flat curve again.
Thank you. I am able to achieve flat. What I am trying to do is ger the default Roon profile which matched the photo in the filter choices. Sorry if I was not clear. Best
Try this then. If you haven’t already. Upper right just above X Remove Filter tap the Gear icon to reveal Automatically Apply Settings or Restore to Default Settings.
This. The Reset to baseline function is hidden under the Remove Filter and it took me a bit to find. Inmo, it needs to indicate that that is where the function lives. As, especially when just using it new, it can be quite confusing.
Thank you all for your help, but this still does not work. I don’t get it. I tried the Gear icon and restored to default. The filter settings for each band are still flat. I do not see a reset to baseline function under the Remove Filter. Could you send a screen shot?
Flat is correct for factory settings. It’s not applying any corrections. If you didn’t save your previous settings to a DSP preset then you have lost what you had set and will have to manually do what you did again. High shelf is type of filter applied to the higher frequencies and in the default setup is applied to the last default eq frequency step. Low shelf is applied to the first frequency step as it’s for low frequencies to roll off properly and ones inbetween are peak/dip. You can change any freq to be what type of filter it applies.
Thanks. Appreciate it. It’s not hard at all to create those I want. I wish I had known to save the ones Roon gave you when originally installed so I could revert. They are a good starting point. Best,
