I have also tried including full path to the wav files in the cfg file but still got the same error. Any advice on what I’m doing wrong and how to fix it would be appreciated!

My very limited understanding is that Roon doesn’t take well to multiple filters loaded all at once.
I know it’s slower and tiresome but could you try individually?
Edit.
Just found this titbit , not sure why it might work but I guess you could try it.
Not sure if it is helpful in your situation, but I’ve never had an issue loading a ZIP file with multiple filters. However, I use Focus Fidelity to generate stereo .WAV files and do not use .CFG’s.
Maybe if you convert your filters to stereo files it would work?
Thank you, I might just try that because it provides an alternative. It’s frustrating though when something that should work (according to the documentation as I understand it), doesn’t, and the error message doesn’t really help!
FWIW I have no trouble with ZIPs containing up to 6 filters (44.1,48,88.2,96,176.4,192). Some have been generated by AutoEQ, a few from HouseCurve. IIRC the WAVs are mostly 32-bit float, minimum phase. The ZIPs contain only WAV files, no CFG.
Thank you. Yes, based on previous advice, I generated stereo filters at multiple sample rates and put them in a zip file. That worked. However, I wasn’t convinced that Roon was using the right filter at the right time or just using the first (44.1) filter and upsampling it (which would defeat the purpose of adding the other filters in the zip file). I believe the cfg file would force Roon to do the automatic filter selection to match the source sample rate.
Here’s the latest update. After much trial and error I worked out that what was causing the errors was the zip file itself. I had been creating the zip file by highlighting the cfg and wav files and using “Compress to” in the Windows right click menu. I began to suspect there was something wrong with the internals of these zip files so I decided to try the same process using 7zip. Highlight the files, and select 7zip from the Windows context menu. This produced the same error. Then I tried opening the 7zip app, adding the files straight into it, and creating the zip file that way. Much to my surprise, this created a zip file that Roon was happy with! I have no idea why but for now I’m just going to enjoy the music!
If multiple impulse response files, or multiple `.cfg` files, are provided in the same `.zip` archive, then Roon will choose the closest match based on the channel layout and sample rate source material being played.
Curiosity got the better of me. I removed the config file out of the zip file and loaded it back into Roon. It worked just as good! So all that time I spent on cfg files was unnecessary if only I had used 7zip from the start!
