My album count is different

I have Roon 1.8 installed and I think it is a real improvement over 1.7, but I have noticed that the album count is reported differently on the core 18,083 and my ipad 15,811. Is there a reason for this?

Are you filtered on your iPad and not your desktop? The filtering remains on when checking bookmarks and such, so the main albums view easily displays different content if you’re not paying close attention. I’d almost bet that’s what’s happened since I have run into it myself when jumping back on a device hours after looking something else up.

I’m not the expert, but I’d suggest one of the two devices requires rescanning. I’m also thinking that with the update Roon found some missing files or perhaps is counting box sets/duplicates differently now? Although, in terms of albums some 2200= albums is quite a discrepancy. I wonder what the count was prior?

I’ve not even opened Roon on my phone since this upgrade. I wonder what it says in terms of count. I’ll check.

Thanks for the suggestion. But there are no filters. It’s not causing any problems, it’s just confusing me

I had rescanned media which is all on my Qnap. The iPad is used as a remote so it is showing everything that the MBP core is showing apart from the Album count. Slightly confused. Every thing works fine no problems at all

Check if you have enabled option to show duplicates. Also verify that streaming services like Tidal or Qobuz are connected (and successfully logged in).

Thanks, that was it. I didn’t realise I could have different settings in the ipad and the Mac I have always thought that they would be identical. Now it would be useful if I could just show all the duplicate albums. Is that possible
