Description of Issue

The connection works fine with Qobuz and Pandora, and worked with Roon before my account was cancelled.

The audio devices page shows:
system output, schiit bifrost Hidef, each in a grey box, what changed when you cancelled my account?

Do you only use Qobuz or do you have any local files as well?
If so does it show the same greyed out audio boxes on them?
When was your account reinstated?

Can you post a screenshot of Roon’s Settings > Audio page showing this? It sounds as though this is correct, showing that the devices are enabled, so there must be something else going on. Here, for example, is what I see on my system - all the enabled devices are shown in “grey boxes”:

As a test, can you play music to the System Output of your PC? And what happens if you reboot your Schiit Bifrost 2 and try playing music to it again?

it keeps trying to play hidef , there is no disable button

The DAC needs to be connected and switched on to be visible in Roon. From there you should be able to enable it and then play back to it.

Roon tries to play but says that it cant connect with the Hidef player, it also sees my Schiit Bifrost DAC but doesn’t try to use it it.

How do I get it to recognize my DAC, should I remove the Hidef player?

my dac is recognized and enabled,so is “system outpuit” and "hidef’ but Roon always tries to play “hidef”
How do I change that?

my dac is plugged in , recognized and enabled, There is also a “system output” and “hidef” . How do I get Roon to use my Dac?

Disable the ones you don’t intend to use. Or click on the speaker icon and on the arrows and switch to your choice.

thanks that worked
