Description of Issue

My Library seems to be ‘confused’ (ansd so am I):
Just listened to the new album of Ally Venable - Real world (nice album by the way)

Scrolling down, I am seeing 2 other albums in My Library: Texas Honey and Heart of Fire.

It is this last one ‘Heart of Fire’ that is the cause of Roon’s and my confusion.
Clicking on the album shows me that the album is indeed in My Library

Looking at the Credits - Release information, I see

So far so good. However !

I now select the artist Ally Venable and look at her Discography:

Now the album ‘Heart of Fire’ does not seem to be part of My Library
and indeed, when selecting the album, I get the ‘+’ sign in order to be able to add it (and no tags):

Checking if this is maybe another album version, although no indication of Versions tab, looking at the Credits again:

Same release information.
And by the way, exactly the same format.

Not wanting to give in, I am checking at Qobuz website:

the album is available 1 times:

the 2nd appearance is the ‘single only’ version

So why does Roon has 2 different references to the same album??

Thank you for your upcoming insights.

Hi Dirk
Have you checked that you have the “Show Hidden Tracks and Albums” setting checked under General Settings. This should allow you to see all versions that you have in your Library…

The first Qobuz screenshot you posted is of the entire album. The second Qobuz screenshot is the single release, hence why you see two on Qobuz. I don’t think singles are considered a “version” of the entire album.

I’m not sure why Roon isn’t displaying the “in library” icon properly when on the Artist screen. Out of curiosity, I added the album to my library then pulled up the Artist screen, and the “in library” icon shows properly on the album.

Btw, in the past I’ve had issues with the “in library” icon not showing properly on an album. At some point the issued was resolved (nothing I did, though).

Hi
Thanks, you are absolutely right, the 2nd album at the Qobuz website is indeed a ‘single’ only.
I will correct my topic.

This means however, this is a Roon DB issue. as there is only 1 album , with 2 different references in Roon.
