Description of Issue

The Roon app states it can not connect to a core. My Nucleus + no longer registers an IP on my network and no longer outputs a diagnostic screen or anything via HDMI A. I have tried both hard and soft reboot and also pulling the power and reconnecting. The power light always comes on and the ethernet port lights flash.

Is the Nucleus still within the 2-year warranty period, and was it purchased from a dealer or direct from Roon Labs? Your answers will determine the next steps, and a member of the @support team will respond to you here with them. Sorry for the trouble.

Hi Geoff,

Many thanks for the prompt reply.

I paid LifeStyle AVI in Las Vegas for the Nucleus+ on Dec 22, 2021. I received the unit about 2 weeks later. Therefore, I believe the unit is under warranty.

Please do not ask me to go back to LifeStyle AVI for any support or warranty service since I have already asked them for support on this issue and have been ignored. I cannot trust LifeStyle AVI since they sold me a surveillance system that was banned by the US government without disclosing that to me. They did accept a return of the system but then did NOT reimburse me as they had promised.

Thanks,
Vince Naso

Hey @Vincent_Naso,

Are you able to access the webUI of the Nucleus? Here is more information on this:

If you’re not able to access the webUI, could you please attach the Nucleus to a monitor via HDMI, turn on the Nucleus (make sure it’s still hardwired to your router), and let me know what you see.

Thanks!

I attached my Nucleus+ to a monitor via HDMI A. I turned on the Nucleus+ with it hardwired to my router. The monitor displays “No Signal”. I have used this setup with the HDMI A output to a monitor before and it worked fine. It no longer works. My Orbi app, which shows devices connected to my LAN, states that the Nucleus+ is offline with no IP address. Before, when the Nucleus+ worked, it always showed an assigned IP address which I had used for the webUI. Now nothing seems to work.

Got it, thanks for giving that a try @Vincent_Naso, I’ll follow up via a private message with next steps in getting an RMA setup to send the Nucleus in for repair.

Please keep an eye out for a message from me. :+1:
