Description of Issue

Hello.
I’ve been troubleshooting my Roon connection and have changed the IP address of the Roon remote device so that it is within the subnet of the Roon server. I’ve also turned off the firewall from both sides, but the remote device still can’t find the server.

Meanwhile, my Android device has detected the server.

How do I troubleshoot my Windows PC remote device?.

Try to enable SMB v1 on your Windows PC

Open Control Panel in your PC/Notebook.
Click on Programs.
Click on Turn Windows features on or off link.
Expand the SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support option.
Check the SMB 1.0/CIFS Client option.
Click the OK button.

Thank you for that tip, but still no luck. My Windows 10 Home Roon remote device still can’t find the OS X Big Sur Roon server.

Hi @alaricpcabiling so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you for letting us know as soon as you ran into this issue.

I wanted to first ask, have you tried to reinstall the application on the Windows PC? Does a fresh install help to find the Core on this remote?

I reinstalled and it worked. Thank you.
