My Requests For Roon ARC / Roon App

Hello,

I’ve been using Roon for years now. 3 features that I would want that I still haven’t seen implemented:

1. To be able to play only your favorites (hearted songs) on Roon ARC mobile app.

2. To have a place to enter your thoughts on the album in a text box that could be saved so you can remember what you thought of an album months or years later.

3. Do be able to change your rating out of 5 stars of an album on the go on Roon ARC.

Then go to the “…” menu, top right, and click Shuffle or Play Now. (Before doing so, you can also add additional selection criteria by adding Focus and/or Tags)

Adding own notes (reviews, biographies, web links, etc.) to albums, artists, compositions, playlists …

[Moderator Note: similar “own notes” requests have been consolidated into this topic.] One of the ways I keep track of yet-to-be-released albums/EPs is bookmarking a web page, updating a text file (e.g. Evernote), or flagging a promotional e-mail that reference them. While Evernote could serve as a single source for such information, I would love to have a similar option within Roon. Yeah. When ARC was new I even dared to hope for more metadata editing, but was told that it’s complicated and perhaps much later. I suppose start rating would be a less complex subtopic of this. I don’t think a dedicated feature suggestion topic to vote for exists.

@Suedkiez I want to do it from looking at the album itself in offline mode. I don’t want to start listening to hearted tracks on 1 album and have to manually pause it since it is going to keep playing into the next album’s hearted/favorited albums. The UI of the Roon App on mobile allows this (while online).

Well you hadn’t said that, so it’s good this is clarified.

I wish in CarPlay that we have a favorite button so we can tag a song we love while driving easily. This could drop on a default favorite playlist like other platforms.

I also wish Roon ARC properly picked back up and auto-played where I left off when the car stopped when I grab a coffee and get back int he car like other audio apps do. I have to remember to go on the app and hit play again as the CarPlay interface docent seem to remember where it was at.

Love Roon ARC. Hope they keep updating it and adding features.
