I’m pulling my hair out. Just got a Rasperry+Volumio based streaming DAC. I want/need to use it with Roon. The Roon bridge plugin is successfully installed, and shows up in Roon in Settings/About.
But it doesn’t show up in Setting/Audio, meaning I can’t use the device with Roon. I have no idea why or how to sort this out, I’ve done everything by the book and it should work.
Any idea?
DAC attached to bridge? And if so, is the DAC powered on?
It’s a streamer/DAC, all included in one package. Yes it’s powered on. Thanks.
What is the device?
The Roon Bridge will never show-up as such in Settings|Audio as it is not an Audio device (just a software service). The issue is with your new “Rasperry+Volumio based streaming DAC” you didn’t tell any details about. Posting details might get you answers from other users of the same hardware (if there are any that also participate here).
PS: For questions about general RPi based solutions there is the Raspberry Pi category available.
Update: my DAC suddenly appears in Settings/Audio hours later… Don’t know what happened. I haven’t changed anything.
