My roon Nucleus occasionally loses the network connection--ethernet

I’ve encountered something like this with an overheated NUC and/or a bad ram stick.
A nucleus is basically a NUC, just with different firmware and without a fan.

Thanks for your patience while we work through each thread! Following up on your issue, are you still having connectivity issues on your Nucleus?

I agree with the other thoughts in this thread in that we should first try to fully eliminate any potential network based issue before considering hardware issues. That said,

If it does come down to needing hardware replaced, you should still be under warranty through Upscale Audio.

Thanks Ben. So far the manual setting of the IP address is working. But even before, the issue was very sporadic, perhaps once a month or so.

I think the person that posted about a potential thermal issue might be onto something, but I have no idea how to apply the fix described in the linked article about Intel processors.

For now, let’s see if the problem is fixed.
