My Roon Ready audio device is not found by the server

It used to work but now my Naim Unity Nova is not found by my server…I wanted to by the nucleus one but now I hesitate if Roon doesn’t work well…

I see that your server is running on a Mac with Sequoia, can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

Is there a workaround to avoid having to click on the network security settings? I have to do this every time my Roon updates or my computer restarts. There has to be a better way!

This is the workaround. RoonLabs said they are working on a better solution. (Part of the problem could also be that macOS doesn’t reliably show a prompt to ask for permissions when it should and/or might not correctly save the permissions).

Gosh. That’s bonkers. This has been going on for months. We probably need a banner for every Mac user to remind them what this workaround is. Otherwise… How would they possibly know?
