My USB DAC is no longer recognized by Roon

This is on a QNAP NAS. Last week’s version showed my Schiit USB DAC as a connected audio device. Now, with roonserver successfully set up in a docker, I can’t get any music to my DAC/amp though I can to other devices. What am I missing?

You won’t be able to use the DAC with the NAS since the container won’t see the USB interface.

You’ll need a network streamer for the DAC.

Sigh…not the response I wanted. Thanks nonetheless, I can now stop wasting time trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong.

The DAC should work over USB and the new container stuff. However, you do have to enable USB.

On the configurator web tool:

My apologies for missing the option in the Configuration Generator.

@Stephen, I assume you have enabled USB/IP?

FWIW, I use a streamer attached to my DAC, so Roon only need recognize the streamer (the streamer pulls from my Roon ROCK. if you have a streamer/DAC device, recognition should be no issue.

Thanks Stephen,

I am up and running now.
