NAA disconnection from USB, best current solution?

Having darted around the various specific threads for devices that can run HQP NAA my interest has perked on the Pi/Cubox/BBA solutions.

With a MacMini running NAA, it will disconnect from the USB if the DAC that it is connected to goes to sleep or is inactive for a long period or is powered down (Devialet 200 in my case). With the MM running headless, this is a pain as you have to remote into it and re-start the NAA from HQP.

Do any of the above mentioned devices maintain the USB connection in such a scenario, or seek it out when the DAC (Devialet) is switched back to USB input or woken from a sleep state?
