Describe the issue

I've got a NAD C368 which sometimes shows a message in the settings->audio list "this device is uncertified and may not operate properly" ... if I reset the device this message will go away ... any idea what Roon is seeing when you query the device to show it's uncertified sometimes ?

Describe your network setup

Unifi UDM-SE ... Roon Nucleus Server is connected via ethernet.

Hey @Daniel_Marotta,

Thanks for sharing your report! We were able to review a diagnostic report from your Roon Server via your Nucleus, and saw a handful of different network related issues. Is the issues with your NAD the only hiccup you’re seeing and experiencing currently?

How is the NAD connected to your Nucleus / router? Can you get a more direct hardwired connection setup temporarily?

The next time this happens, jot down the date, time, and name of track playing or recently played, and share that info here. We’ll be able to take a closer look behind the scenes at what might be going on. :+1:

The nad c368 amp is connect to the router via Ethernet local UniFi switch to data room switch and then UniFi UDM-SE router

I don’t have any other issues audio wise and I have quite a diverse collection from hifiberry, nad cs1, McIntosh control4 etc

Hi @Daniel_Marotta ,

Thanks for those details. Can you please create a Backup of your database for safekeeping and try to clear out your Roon Server cache on the Nucleus to see if this helps?

  • Stop Roon Server from running in the Web UI
  • Find and open your RoonServer database from a PC
  • Navigate to RoonServer/Cache
  • Move the contents of the /Cache folder elsewhere, like your desktop
  • Try restarting Roon Server via the WebUI and verify if the issue still occurs
