NAD C399 Not Recognized by Roon After Update (ref#NJR9OS)

What’s happening?

· I'm having trouble connecting to Roon

What type of connection issue?

Describe the issue

MacMini (Intel) used as Roon server. Music stored locally on attached external drive. After the latest Roon update it no longer recognizes my NAD C399. I went to Privacy and Security>Local Network and toggled Roon and Roon Server off, quit Roon and rebooted the computer. The amp was then recognized. A couple of days later and it no longer shows up in the Audio tab in setup. I repeated the above procedure but to no avail. FYI the NAD has not had a recent firmware update.

Describe your network setup

Eero Max 7 router connected directly to MacMini via ethernet cable.

Hey @David_Hiett,

Thanks for writing in, and sorry to hear about your issues with your NAD device!

How is the NAD connected to your Mac?

It may be worth checking to see if a firmware update is available for the device.

I’d also double-check your local network, and make sure you aren’t running multiple subnets within your setup. If Roon devices move to other local subnets, you won’t be able to connect them, unfortunately.

Lastly, I’d triple check all your Roon devices are running the latest update, build 1470. Mismatches in builds can often create odd issues like the one you’ve described.

We’ll be on standby for your reply, thanks! :raised_hands:
