Roon Tested means that this device was tested with Roon and confirmed that Roon can play to it. If Roon can play to it in any way, even via Air Play and this is confirmed by Roon - that’s what Roon tested means. only Roon Ready can confirm that device is RAAT capable.
I thought I was contacting Roon support - not making a public post! I would have been a bit more thoughtful in my wording had I known that…
As Bart pointed out, this device is listed as Roon Ready on both Roon’s and NAD’s websites. NAD support confirmed this yesterday and recommended reaching out to Roon support.
So back to my original question - why is my Room Ready Device only showing up as Roon Tested?
I have an iPhone 15 Pro (generally what I use as my Room controller), an MacBook Air M2 (my Roon Core) and an NAD M10 V2 (my Roon endpoint). All software and firmware is up to date across all devices. Everything is connected via WiFi.
NAD’s customer service has usually been quite helpful to me. I decided to unplug the M10 for a few minutes and plug it back in. That solved everything. I am streaming via RAAT currently to the M10!
