Do you also have a TV connected via HDMI eARC? If so, does the M33 preserve the LFE channel and route it to your subwoofers? Thanks!
Dirac runs inside the M33, so it applies to all inputs including Roon.
I have had the Nad M33 that is used with only two inputs (well three if you include Roon ARC through AirPlay). It has worked perfectly with Roon bearing in mind that all connections are with Ethernet not WiFi.
The other consistent input is for the TV using HDMI ARC from an LG OLED 65” G3 and it has also worked perfectly.
The the one thing I have yet to determine is when I need to apply some equalizer especially bass should I use Roon DSD or M33 tone controls. Much of my taste is mid 60s to mid/late 70s when recording technology was limited compared to the 21st century so I am not the sort of audiophile who thinks adding a bit of bass to some songs from the era is betraying what the artist intended. Roon offers significantly more flexibility alllowing tweaking for all frequencies whereas M33 offers bass and treble only. The latter is so much easier and more convenient so that’s what I’ve been using. But perhaps I should spend some time fine tuning some DSD profiles in Roon.
The M33 comes with Dirac. I recommend trying that first. After using the bundled version I paid for the full version and am very pleased with the results on my M33.
There are several helpful Dirac ‘how-to’ videos on YouTube .
