NAS Drive not seen by Roon

Knowing ROON would be scanning a large library I set my IMAC not to go to sleep

Well done, I would just monitor it while it completes the import, one thing you could do is turn off the background analysis until the import is finished then turn it on again, you can do this in
Settings
Audio
Background audio analysis speed
Set to off

This reduces the load on the CPU significantly and may help?

Ok I’ll keep that in mind but so far I really like the software. Anyone else running this on an Apple computer if so what’s the specs on your machine? Well Roon was still crashing I was using a 08 IMAC standard specs. Yesterday I switched over to a 2013 IMAC quad core small solid state hard drive and 8gigs of ram ROON seems to be running a lot smoother in this set up

Minimum recommended machine is an i3 and 4-8gb RAM. A core 2 duo machine is likely to be insufficient although some people use them without issue.

Looking for a understanding as to why when I plug the Ethernet cable from my NAS into the Ethernet port on my IMAC A+ sees the drive and plays from it without issue. However Roon doesn’t see it?
