Descrizione del problema

Hello My core can no longer connect with my NAS QNAP 453D suddenly it has become unreachable while from the other computers on the network I can connect with the NAS.

My Roon core until yesterday connected perfectly with the NAS. Suddenly last night the NAS became unreachable I tried to reconnect but without success.

I tried to connect to the files inside the NAS through another device using a protocol other than Roon and the files are all accessible.

The internal network I use is perfectly functional, so much so that from Roon I can access both TIDAL and Qobuz. The only thing I noticed is an error message coming from the NAS informing me that one of the four internal hard drives has malfunctioned. I have already ordered the new hard disk and I am awaiting its arrival this is not a problem because I work in RAID 5.

The address of the NAS has always remained identical and when I connect, in addition to typing user Name and password, I connect it with the diction smb://192.168.1.21/m/Albums one summer syntax has always worked.

Sincerely

Hi @natale_scrima,

Thank you for your report and we’re sorry to hear about the issue.

We’ve investigated available diagnostics for your Core and confirmed that Roon is unable to mount the CIFS location you’ve designated. The drive is reporting as not ready and the M drive with your albums location is visible but unavailable.

Unfortunately, this isn’t going to improve Roon’s functionality. Replacing the hard drive will certainly help. Also make sure drivers, etc. are up to date on this Core.
