Need a better way to categorize local music

Don’t really know where to ask for a feature request so I put it here in support.

We need a way of sorting music by format type and bitrate. For example…
One category for redbook cds, one category for 24bit pcm, and one category for dsd. If this is already a feature, I haven’t found it. Each category would be in alphabetical order by artist. As it is now, I have to keep a notebook of what is what by format. We need a better way than that. I have over 3000 cds ripped into roon, 24bit pcm, and dsd albums. I either have to remember what is what or use my notebook.

The info is in my roon database, there just needs to be a way to sort through it better than using pen and paper.

However, have you looked at focus, there’s lots of filtering options there.
I believe this will give you what you are looking for.

Thank you for taking the time to type up your concerns here. We’re glad to hear Focus meets some of your need. We’ll be sure to take a look at any suggestions you might submit in case there’s another curatorial function we can implement with a later release of Roon.
