Having problem with drops.
My system: HQPlayer desktop 4 on macbook M1 Pro,Holo Audio Red streamer & Cyan 2 dac,R.O.C.K with music HD.I’m only streaming locally,no Tidal or other services. I tried my hand with settings with Gemini but no luck. Do that,do this,left and right. Then at the end AI recommendation was to stick with Roon Muse which is playing just fine.Can someone guide me better,please?
what ‘s the issue - no sound / stuttering / .. ? or you need a 2nd pair of eyes to validate the settings?

OBS: because your configured max-rate is DSD256, you shouldn’t use modulator “AMSDM7 512+fs” ; that one is specifically intended for DSD512 or higher. also, if I remember correctly your DAC supports 48k x DSD, so you can also set bit-rate limit to “48k xDSD256” and enable “48k DSD”
Thanks,just switch… and modulator? AMSDM7 512+fs keep cpu down and macbook temp around 57C.Any other filters recommendation?
for modulators, I would try one of the AMSDM7 EC modulators - AMSDM7EC v2 & AMSDM7EC (if performance wise it’s not too heavy) ; the EC modulators are technically better. If I remember correctly past forum discussions, AMSDM5EC v2 would be preferred over AMSDM7 (if your CPU is not powerful enough for the 7EC variants). HQP 5’s default filters are 1x - poly-sinc-gauss-long & Nx - poly-sinc-gauss-hires-lp , so I would give them a chance.

I’m sure Jussi has more refinements and optimizations in the works with v6.

I ran into an issue with my lic file triggering an error message. I contacted via email along with a copy of my lic and Aapo was very quick to resolve the problem.
I highly doubt. I have a good network and barely can run dsd 256.
M1 Pro can do such high samples.

The 1024 8bit modulators will allow and use less resources than running most 256 settings on the M1 Max studio when I’ve tried it.
There are I believe only few to choose from, but they work, sounds good, and will get you to 1024.
Note: They are only for 1024.
