First off, welcome to the community! I’m so sorry for the lack of response you’ve received on your issue so far. I’ve marked it as a priority to ensure it doesn’t slip through any cracks.
Now getting straight to your issue: the first thing to do would be to pull up the webUI of the SOtM, and enable Roon mode. You can see more information on this via the link and screenshot below:
Not seeing any options to bypass. Do you mean if I remove the Gustard from the chain to bypass the Gustard? I tried getting the SOtM to register my Pegasus DAC by USB but it did not work.
Yes, my apologies for lack of clarity! I meant to physically remove any gear between your core device and the SOtM. If you connect the two directly, are you able to enable the above?
SOtM Neo 200 SE won’t respond to plugging it into my PC with USB. SOtM app does show options if it’s not plugged into the Gustard U18. Also does not pick up my Musician Pegasus DAC if I USB it into that. Tried a few things including deleting Roon Access version and replacing it with regular roon. Tried device manager a few times but no luck.
Looks like Gustard U18 is stuck between Roon and SOtM Neo. It shows fixed in Eunhasu but the Gustard always goes back to “Device volume” in Roon. There is no were to control the Gustard specifically once it is plugged into the SOtM Neo as it combines the two into one setting on Roon.
I swapped out to a Roon Rock Nuc. Since it runs 24/7 I no longer need to set it to fixed each time. The problem continues but there is no reason to do it every day or few hours as it was before so it’s not much of a problem anymore
