I have a kitchen Nest mini speaker that no longer appears in Roon to enable after we had a power cut. The speaker can be seen and connected to by other devices. I have done a full reset of the speaker but it won't appear.
Describe your network setup
I am using a Sagemcom F3896LG - virgin superhub (UK). this has two mesh extenders
Thank you for your post. Diagnostics indicate that the Nest Mini is visible on the network to your RoonServer machine. However, RoonServer doesn’t appear to have restarted in the last few days, and might have retained an old IP address for the speaker.
If you haven’t already, fully restart RoonServer with the speaker online. This will initiative a network discovery cycle and should allow for a handshake between the two devices. Try hitting the refresh button on the Roon Audio Settings page if you’re still not seeing the Cast endpoint. You might need to enable local network access in Privacy & Settings → Local Network if you’re using a Mac.
Since the router and mesh nodes went offline, they may have defaulted to settings that restrict mDNS and multicast traffic on restart. Verify that IGMP snooping and multicast forwarding are turned on in your router settings administration page.
