I’m seeing a very similar issue after upgrading my Mac mini M4 to macOS 27.

Roon Server and Roon are running on the same Mac mini.

Symptoms:

- Local USB audio works normally. My Lindemann USB device is visible and usable in Roon.

- Network audio devices have disappeared from Settings → Audio.

- My CH Precision i1 and WiiM devices are not visible in Roon.

- The WiiM is visible and plays normally in the Spotify app, so the device and local network connectivity are working.

- macOS firewall is disabled.

- Roon has Local Network permission enabled in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.

Troubleshooting already tried:

- Toggled Roon Local Network permission off/on

- Restarted Roon and Roon Server

- Rebooted the Mac

- Reinstalled Roon

- Deleted Roon endpoint cache entries

- Renamed ~/Library/RAATServer to RAATServer\_old and allowed Roon to create a new RAATServer folder

- Refreshed Settings → Audio

None of these restored the network audio devices.

This started immediately after upgrading to macOS 27. Before the upgrade, the CH i1 and WiiM endpoints were working normally.

This looks very similar to the reports here where USB audio continues to work but network/Roon Ready endpoints disappear under macOS 27.

Mac: Mac mini M4
OS: macOS 27
Roon: current build
Affected endpoints: CH Precision i1, WiiM
USB endpoint: Lindemann, working normally

One more observation:

My **CH Precision i1 briefly appeared in Roon Settings → Audio, then disappeared again after a short time**.

Current conditions:

- macOS 27

- Ethernet only (Wi-Fi disabled for testing)

- macOS firewall disabled

- No proxy enabled

- Roon Local Network permission enabled

- Roon ARC shows Ready

- Spotify can see and play to the WiiM normally

- USB audio in Roon works normally

I compared a couple of my RoonServer logs from before and after the macOS update.

Before the update, on macOS 26.6.2, my WiiM devices were connecting normally. I can see in the older log that they sometimes disconnected, but then reconnected right away.

After updating to macOS 27.0, Roon still seems to find the devices. I can see entries for my WiiM devices and CH Precision I1.

But after that, the connection attempts keep failing with:

`No route to host`

I also noticed the same message in the current log when Roon tries to communicate with the local network.

A few other things I checked:

- macOS firewall is off

- Roon has Local Network access enabled

- turning Wi-Fi off and using Ethernet only did not help

- Spotify can still see and play to the WiiM devices

- USB audio devices in Roon still work

So I’m wondering if this could be related to the macOS 27 update rather than the network devices themselves.

I can upload the before/after logs if that would help.

I did one more test using a different Roon Server.

I installed Roon Server on an Ubuntu machine on the same network and switched to it.

On Ubuntu, all of the network audio devices appeared immediately:

- CH Precision I1

- WiiM Pro Receiver

- second WiiM Pro Receiver

I enabled them and playback works normally.

So the same CH and WiiM devices work correctly with Roon Server on Ubuntu, using the same network.

On the Mac mini with macOS 27, Roon Server still finds the devices but fails to connect with:

`No route to host`

I also tested the same IP/port from Terminal on the Mac with `nc`, and the connection succeeds there.

So at this point, it seems possible that this is related to the Roon Server/macOS 27 environment on the Mac, rather than the network devices themselves.

Update — resolved with the macOS 27 Local Network Privacy workaround.

The issue was caused by macOS 27 blocking outbound local-network access from RoonAppliance, even though Roon was enabled under Privacy & Security → Local Network.

I ran the following command for my wired Ethernet subnet:

sudo defaults write com.apple.network.local-network AllowedEthernetLocalNetworkAddresses -array “192.168.219.0/24”

After rebooting the Mac mini, my CH Precision I1 appeared normally and has remained available as a Roon Ready endpoint.

This matches the issue and workaround confirmed by Roon Support here:
[https://community.roonlabs.com/t/macos-27-local-network-privacy-blocking-roonappliance-connectivity-ref-tcdud6/324986](https://community.roonlabs.com/t/macos-27-local-network-privacy-blocking-roonappliance-connectivity-ref-tcdud6/324986)

The problem is now resolved with this workaround.

Thanks for the thorough review and for confirming the analysis. I added 224.0.0.0/4 alongside 192.168.0.0/24 and rebooted: sudo defaults write com.apple.network.local-network AllowedEthernetLocalNetworkAddresses -array “192.168.0.0/24” “224.0.0.0/4” Everything is working now: - Eversolo DMP-A6 connects and stays connected - It is discovered even when Roon is not running on the Galaxy - iPhone and Galaxy both appear as zones again - Devices connected to the Mac mini are all visible Also, thanks for the note on tccutil and FB14944392. That saved me some time. I’ll keep the exemption in place for now. Once a Roon update addresses the RoonAppliance attribution issue, I’m happy to remove the exemption and report back whether it works without it.

Hello @Iljae_Jung

Glad you got there, and thank you for the Ubuntu test. Proving the same endpoints worked from a different server on the same network is what ruled out the devices and the network, and that is the part most reports are missing.

Closing this one.
