· Router is Arris TG3442S hardware revision 5. I was using my MacBook as the Roon Server and that worked fine for Arc, but I moved to a Windows Server and now it won't connect, but I've not changed any of the network set up - same wifi, same router etc

uPnP on your original MacBook Roon Server allocated requested that the Roon ARC port be forwarded to the MAC.

When you changed server, it did not revoke this mapping. Hence, when the new Windows server tried to request the same port, it is already been forwarded and so can not now be forwarded to the Windows Server.

The easiest solution, is to simply change the ARC port number on the Windows Server. If the Mac used port 55000 (the default) for the Roon ARC port, try setting the ARC port to 55002 in the Roon Arc Settings page when connected to the Windows Server.

Alternatively, you can permanently stop the Roon Server on the Mac (it may still be running even if your are not connected to it or using it) and then the port forwarding setting will eventually time out and expire since it will not be being renewed. If this does not work immediately, after stopping the Roon Server on the Mac, you could try restarting the Arris Router. The uPnP configured port forwarding settings are not normally retained over a power cycle and so, with no Roon Server running on the Mac, the original Roon ARC port should become available for the Windows Roon Server to use.

Hey @ianjhay,

As Wade noted, the easiest fix is to change the ARC port number on the Windows Server. If the Mac was using the default ARC port 55000, please try setting the ARC port to 55002 in the ARC settings page while connected to the Windows Server. Please let us know if that helps.

Hi both. Thanks for the feedback - I changed the port to 55002 and the Arc app connected perfectly. Interestingly, the test page on Roon itself still shows that Arc is not ready. But the app works fine and that’s good enough for me! Thanks again.
