· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices

Describe the issue

I have followed your instructions about adding new albums to the internal storage, but it is not being recognised in my library despite forcing rescan

Hello @Philip_Wright ,

If you navigate to Roon Home → Recent Activity → Added, do they show up there? Are these popular albums? If they are not, it is possible that Roon was not able to identify them and would show up as unidentified albums (Albums → Focus → Inspector → Identified → Click on +identified to flip it to -identified).

Hi Noris,
Thanks for getting back to me. First of all they are very mainstream albums, but are variants remasters/remixes. The album is the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Here are two snapshots of the location on Nucleus One Storage:

Here’s the recently added page on Roon Home:

Here’s the search for the album - only the Qobuz version of the latest albums appear and not my HD downloaded versions in my library:

Many thanks, Phil

Hi, Just to add, I tried looking for unidentified albums, but there weren’t any. I did find 5 albums that were ‘corrupted’, but not the albums I am having problems with.
Phil

Good day @Philip_Wright !

Thanks for the screenshot!

Can you please share with us also screenshot from the Settings → Storage ?

Regards.

Hi,

I have tried force rescan many times.

Thanks

Phil

In the last screen shot above, you are looking at your album, it even says so in Red: “Currently Viewing”

It shows up as a WAV file and has a dynamic range of 13.

Your in the versions view, underlined in red, click on Tracks, every track with a dynamic range symbol and 13 is your copy.

Hello @Philip_Wright

Thank you for the update.

Would you kindly post the full path to the folder mounted to your Windows PC where you have put the files?

Is it \NUCLEUSONE\Data\Storage ?

Hi,

No it’s not. Read my messages please. That is the original album and not the 2025 remaster or the 2025 live album. They are shown in the screenshot of the storage but not in Roon.

Hello @Philip_Wright

It might be helpful to have the file(s) for testing on our end as well, can please upload them here and let us know?

Sorry, I missed that, can you compare the contents of the good folder and one that does not load?

And theres nothing in Settings → Library → Skipped Files

Hi Vadim,
I’m not sure I can send this to you because of copyright. They are very explicit about not sharing further. I will send if you guarantee you will delete the files after checking.

geoB Has also contacted me on this.

Phil

Hi geoB,

There are no Skipped Files:

The albums that do load and the ones that don’t are in the same sub-folder for ‘Genesis’:

Also Vadim has been communicating with me on this thread.

Phil

Hi @Philip_Wright,

With any content shared for troubleshooting purposes, our team always removes it afterwards. :+1:

Please let us know when the upload is complete. Thank you!

Hi no files have been skipped according to Settings>>Library>>Skipped files

Hi,

Not sure why, but it is now solved! The steps I took for this was:

  1. Backed up the settings and library
  2. Reset the Settings
  3. Re-booted the Nucleus One
  4. Stopped the Roon Server Software
  5. Copied the files across
  6. Restarted the Roon Software
  7. Restored the backup

This then automatically re-scanned and it picked up the albums. Not sure what was the problem, but at least it is solved and if the problem occurs for someone else, I hope this will be of help.

Thanks for your help.

Phil
