New discovery for roon remotes

Just realised I can use an ipad (or any roon remote) to control a macbookpro, (or other device?), when the macbook is acting as a roon endpoint connected to a secondry sound system in the house. So as well as being able to use roon remotes to control the core, they can also control designated roon endpoints. Fantastic!

Welcome to 2018. The rest of us have been doing this for quite a while. :sunglasses:

Glad you were able to figure out. I bet there are others that still don’t know this as well.

I’m a slow learner , obviously John. I’ve only used roon since it was first released!:flushed::flushed::flushed::grinning:

Have been running Roon for a while now, works great. Downloadet Roon remote from App Store, but it does not mirror my ROON library on my iMac? Why is that?

Roon Remote can play files other then them on my iMac, which also plays finde, but I just want to remote control my iMac´s ROON and nothing else

Is your iMac on when you are trying to view its content. Has the storage been added to Roon?

Yes, and Yes. Roon plays fine on iMac, I can choose music on iPhone and hit play, but iMac not shows the new song that I am playing. Two different songs can play, but I just want the iPhone App to control my iMacs Roon, and nothing else. On iMac I use Dirac as output, that option is not possible with iPhone App
