New Mac Mini- how do I transfer Roon?

Hi,
I’ll be changing Mac Minis , from a 2011 to a 2018 in a week.Should I use the Migration Wizard to transfer Roon, and all of the rest of my data to the new Mac or delete Roon before transferring and re-download Roon complelety from scratch?

Hi @Bernard_Aubin,

I definitely recommend checking out our Migration Guide. You won’t want to rely on a transfer or backup system on the Mac for this, you’ll want to make sure to make a backup in Roon and then restore that backup on the new machine. If you have any questions about the guide linked above please let me know!

I’ll follow the steps.
However, it says:

‘on both the new and old Core’; Do I download Roon onto the new Mac, then restore the back-up for my Roon database ?

Yes, you want to install fresh on the new Mac and then restore the database backup of the old Core. Using any migration or cloning to move Roon causes issues.
