it works fine for i2s connections like my allo digione. The issue is specifically related to usb.

@CrystalGipsy, thanks… I submitted the issue to the raspberry pi firmware group before submitting here, but there has been no movement yet. the issue affects all RPi 4b’s, as well as older RPi’s with the latest firmware… i figured Roon would have a vested interest driving this forward.
