Was primephonic ever on Roon?

No.

Although Apple Classical is just a week out and only for Mobile App not Mac the big and significant difference is not the number of volume s
It is the way you can search your classical music
You can look for author, interpreters, musical periods, type of music, etc. Itvis like getting an enciclopedia in which finally you porn the musical volumen
I believe Roon could implement it as well just watching what both Apple Classical an Idagio have done

That means Apple Music could be the next service added potentially?

Given how much I/We have drifted away using roon he deserves the coast

I do not se at all Apple Music it is not adding valué neither to Qobuz or Tidal, but Apple clasical or IDAGIO is ANOTHER matter

The two obvious things missing from Apple Classical are portals for Opera and Ballet. I’m on the board of my city’s opera company and I noticed. :frowning:

by portal, do you mean separate tabs, or menus? they should be present as genres.

which city, if one may ask (I used to sing for my supper).

I guess I didn’t look hard enough. Operas and Ballets are listed under “Stage Works” in the Genres button.

And I serve the Nashville Opera.

Now I can just gripe about no iPad, Mac, Apple TV or Windows app.

ah, I went to college in Memphis.

“made the rounds” professionally, but never in Nashville.

Very right observation

Roon with a Tidal sub does just the same.

Roons direct links into Wikipedia provides a much better bio, description etc than the “potted” version in Apple Classical

If AC is your first exposure to classical music you may be impressed , i certainly am not

Hi
I am a hifi fan and melomane for 60 years now
I mention it to let you understand that for a meloman it is very important to search and find looking for type of music period of the music, composer, type of music interpreter etc and then see what available albums are either in Qobuz Tidal etc It is not only to get info about a Composer or piece of music that easily is found anywhere
Above functions are provided by Idagio and now Apple classical
Not presently by Roon
It will great if Roon incorporate Idagio
I did contact Idagio and seems they could be interested because it will help them in the new competition with Apple Classical

On another note. Just to complicate things further Presto Classical (The online shop for Classical & Jazz) have just launched a Streaming App. Could be something to consider. They have hinted at something to be announced soon?!

I’ve subscribed to Presto Classical. I really like the app. Uncluttered UI. Doesn’t do playlists, and its catalogue is not as extensive as Apple’s. But it allows you to search by labels, works, composers, artists. Highly recommended. And provides booklets!

Also enjoying the new Presto service. For Classical or Jazz worth a try. Certainly nice to see booklets included.

Actually, the streaming service is not called Presto Classical but Presto Music.

Seriously if they land Apple music on Roon I’ll stop complaining about the always on Internet requirement since 2.0. ARC is well, alright but not worth the always on requirement, I would more than swallow that pill for Apple music integration.

Is this what you’re referring to? Do you think they mean Roon?
