All new imported CD's via Apple Lossless are going straight to the skipped files folder. If I individually source the folder on my Mac where it has been added and add that as a folder to check in Roon, it adds that album automatically. Although the music is stored in the main folder where the new CD is added, it isn't adding it until I add that sub folder from that artist and that particular album. This has only started happening in the last couple of months, where previously if I was adding a CD the same way previously, you could see the album and the tracks adding as there were being imported.

Thanks for writing in, and welcome to the Roon community! We’re happy to have you here, but we apologize in that it’s an issue that prompted your recent post.
A follow-up question for you: for the files that are skipped, if you reboot your Roon Server, do they import properly afterwards?
If so, I believe you’re experiencing an issue that we already have a ticket and a fix in for - so it’s just a matter of needing to wait for one of our upcoming updates for things to improve for you.
Let me know when you’re able to give the above a test - and if you still run into issues, let me know a specific track name that doesn’t import properly.
Hello Benjamin and thanks for your prompt response. I have rebooted on numerous occasions but the issue is still there. The skipped files folder add the new CD’s as I add them and other than searching the specific folder where the actual CD is stored, they still don’t add until I do that. Is it worth removing all the storage areas and trying to re-add them again to see if that rectifies the issue? Maybe the upcoming fix, although not entirely related may fix this inadvertently at the same time. I recently added the Roxette CD, Pearls of Passion, where all tracks went to the skipped files folder. Just one for reference is It Must Have Been Love (Christmas for the Broken Hearted) M4a.
Just incase I am missing a correct restart of the Roon server, what is the correct process on my set up? Once again, thanks for you time.
Hi @Gary_Bayly,
Thanks for those additional details.
On Mac you just need to look for the Roon logo in the top bar. When you click it you’ll see a menu. Click the quit option in the menu. Then just start Roon as you normally would.
