Why won’t my album thumbnails load on my iPad Air?
They sometimes eventually appear randomly and are visible if I reload Roon from scratch. They are always visible on my MacBook Pro. The rest of the information would appear to be there but the icons are greyed out.
Thank you for your post and for your patience while we worked through our queue to reach you.
If album artwork fails to load with local artwork, it usually indicates a network failure at some point in between your music storage location, your Core, and your Roon Remote. Often, this is the fault of a network firewall, antivirus software, or other source of network filtering that prevents images from loading.
In other cases, there might be settings on your router that are preventing the local track artwork from loading properly. Diagnostics from your account that reach our Core show frequent timeouts and interruptions.
Are you able to elaborate on how your Core and Remotes are connected to the internet? Do you have any managed switches? What is the make/model of your router?
The more precise the details, the faster we’ll be able to assist in pinpointing the culprit here.
In the meantime, try adding Roon as an exception to any firewalls you might have enabled.
