Describe the issue
Installed latest update and no audio devices found
have just installed the latest update on a dedicated Mac Mini running as the Roon core, all network devices have disappeared in Roon. All are on the same network and nothing has changed. other software can see all the devices. Restored from a backup from a month ago but this hasn't fixed the issue. Have restarted the Mac Mini.
Same issue here. Restarting my Roon Server (Mac Mini M4) fixes the issue. Also, after some time the audio devices reappear but there is no pattern to the restoration that I can see.
This fixed it, however I run my Mac mini headless so the minute I powered it off and then reconnected it It stopped working again. To keep toggling these controls off is not a solution it’s merely a work around
Not sure if Roon can do anything about it, it’s more of a macOS issue unfortunately. macOS 15.4 should be released next week, hopefully it fixes this issue.
I’ve seen the same problem in Edge Browser’s Local Network access, so it’s not just related to Roon.
Thanks for letting us know that toggling the Local Network Access setting temporarily resolves the issue. As @DrTone mentioned, this is more on the MacOS side than Roon, but we are tracking these kinds of reports in an investigation ticket. Once then next MacOS update is released, please let us know if there is any improvement in the behavior, thanks!
I think it will do that after every update as well from now on as part of Apple’s security checks and balances. So if you run headless this is going to be a bit of a pain for you.
Every time Microsoft Edge updates on my iMac it gives me the same prompt asking me do I still want to allow Network access to Edge.
Thanks for the update @Grant_Harris ! Hopefully everything remained stable, but when you have a chance, please let us know how further testing over the weekend went!
