Hello, latest version installed yesterday, version 1.5 (build 323) stable (64bit), music plays ok but it takes forever to load from both my library and tidal, and browsing is super slow and frequently stuck, so much so that it’s very frustrating, and I so much would like to buy the licence because I like the integration with tidal…
My setup: PC running windows 10 pro, 64bit, intel core i7, 16gb ram, storage is a hard disk inside same PC, collection size approx 11000 tracks.
What are the exact hardware specs on the pc and the graphics card? Is it an intel he graphic card and driver?
Some have noted that the 64bit version has issues and running the 32 bit roon solves this issue or alternatively trying different intel drivers.
Does this only happen when using the browser on the pc or on other devices too?
Note that a hard disk is not ideal as minimum spec is ssd, and could also be slowed down if your library is still being analyzed- check the library options under settings to see if it’s still analyzing
Hi, it’s an Intel hd 4000 graphic card and driver, I’m not using other devices, library was still analyzing and I tried to turn off both background audio analysis speed and on-demand audio analysis speed with no effect whatsoever.
The analyzing process appears to be painfully slow, maybe my hard disk is below spec so in this case Roon is not for me
Now I try to install the 32 bit Roon, thank you.
Ok 32 bit version installed, looks like those issues are fixed, but now room doesn’t see any audio device, so it’s either music but no browsing, or browsing but no music…
Thanks for submitting a thread here, I’ll try my best to get you up and running and enjoying Roon . What devices are you trying to play the audio out from? Do you have a dedicated DAC (Digital-Analog Converter) or are you just trying to use the system output from your Windows computer? This link here should be able to get you up to speed on how to enable the audio devices and configure zones. Please take a look at it and let me know if there is anything further I can assist you with after completing the setup, I’d be happy to help.
Hello Noris, ok it’s fixed, I uninstalled, rebooted and installed it again, no issues this time, the audio devices all appeared so I could select the appropriate ones, and yes I have a dedicated dac.
So now it looks like the 32bit version is working properly, I can go on with the trial, thanks for your help,
Marco
