No audio output from Hifiberry DAC via RCA using Ropiee?

Roon finds the HAT but, no audio to AVR via RCA from Hifiberry DAC to CD input on AVR. Possible defective Hifiberry DAC?

Tech Support has activated diagnostics to see what Roon is communicating to the HAT Zone. Please provide us with an approximate timestamp of when you encounter this precise issue and the name of the Zone within Roon - we’ll pinpoint the event in logs to illuminate more.

Does the playbar indicate that the stream is proceeding, or are there any errors presented in the Roon UI?

More significantly, do you notice the volume is stuck at 0 on this Zone when this symptom occurs?See here:

For due diligence, disable all DSP in MUSE within Roon during testing to simplify the chain.

Just now attempted to run Roon through Ropiee into Marantz SR8012. No audio from 8012. Roon Does show stream is playing.

Thanks for following up! A few additional steps for you to try:

  1. Restart the router, switches, and all involved network devices.
  2. Test different cables as well as ports on both your DAC as well as your Roon Server machine.
  3. Can you review the firmware version on the DAC, and either update or reinstall the current firmware on the device?
  4. See if 1 resetting the LUMIN device to factory settings if the problem persists.

If all else fails, lets see if refreshing your RAATServer database may help. You can generate a new RAATServer instance on your device by following these instructions, but please be aware that this will reset your Roon Settings → Audio Tab to factory settings and I would advise making a backup of any custom DSP settings you have:

  • Create a Backup of your current Roon database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RAATServer”
  • Rename the “RAATServer” folder to “RAATServer_old”
  • Restart the Roon App to generate a new RAATServer folder
