No audio via Airplay to Apple TV 4k

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

iMac running latest Roon OS10-11

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Linksys Velop Wi-fi solution.
Roon can deliver audio to other wireless devices including iPad and iPhone, Apple TV can play airplay content via phone and iPad

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

Apple TV 4K via Wi-fi into a surround sound amp via HDMI

Description Of Issue

I select the Apple TV device in Roon the stream starts and the progress bar moves as if the track is playing but no audio comes out of the Apple TV.

Streaming to other devices works fine including iPhone and iPad via airplay.

Streaming from the iPhone direct from Tidal (not using Roon) to the Apple TV via airplay works fine.

Update to tvOS 13.2 (released today) and Roon will work via airplay again.

Hi @Stewart_Fallis,

We’ve seen reports that updating to the latest tvOS update will resolve Airplay playback issues. Can you give this a try and let us know if it helps?

Thanks everyone updating to TVOS13.2 today did indeed fix the issue.
