:point_right: Get Help With Roon

During setup of a new Nucleus I decided not to sign in to my account but to restore a backup from roon essentials.
I was asked for the shared network path and my input always causes an „unexpected error“. Further Information as follows.
„Everyone“ has read/write rights on this share.
I tried to Connect without and with my user name.
I tried to connect with and without password.
I tried 2 ways of path input:
\NAS\Share as well as (which was the path with roon essentials)
and
smb//NAS/share
Even with an additional folder name „Unexpected error“.
Do I have to sign-in to my account before restoring the backup?
Which, if so, was wrong with my Input of the network share?

Hello @m.stobik1 ,

What is the model/OS version of your QNAP NAS? Do you have SMB 1/2/3 enabled in the QNAP settings? You would need to login with both your QNAP username/password. Are you able to reach the share via a PC as expected? Can you try to use IP address (if you previously used hostname)?

Sorry, I just looked up the user names of the NAS - and they Are slightly different from the normal ones. Now it worked, sorry for the trouble I caused. I am just setting up the whole system. Up to now it works .
