No connection to Airplay 2 on Samsung TV but Apple Music works

Naim Uniti Atom, Samsung Q9F connection via WiFI

Hi there - new user trying to get things connected to as many end points as I currently have.

My TV has Airplay2 ready installed. I have managed to get music playing on my Naim Uniti Atom and my Samsung smart TV (using Apple Music) at the same time so that I can have it on as I move around the house. I am trying to set up the same group on Roon but although Roon sees my Atom as an airplay device, it does not see the Samsung TV. Any pointers please.

Anyone please? - this is driving me nuts. Don’t want to have to bail out of Roon after just a couple of days.

I didn’t think Roon supported airplay 2, just airplay. But could be wrong.

I am so sorry we’re replying this late :pleading_face: - I wish it was going to be much sooner.

As @Rugby has mentioned, AirPlay 2 is not supported in Roon at this time. This doesn’t mean that you cannot use your AirPlay 2 devices with Roon - you actually can, but Roon is still sending Airplay.

Is your TV still not showing up?
