I ripped about a thousand CDs using DBPoweramp FLAC uncompressed Via a desktop PC to the internal SSD of my Nucleus. All metadata remained and can be seen looking at it with explorer and of course as well when viewing through ROON . I just ripped a couple more CDs using a CD drive directly into the Nucleus USB. When accessed through ROON all metadata is present if I look at it through file explorer there is no metadata. If I play the file not using ROON there is no metadata either ??
That’s expected behaviour. Roon never writes metadata to files (except when using the Export function to export copies of your files). All the metadata that Roon finds out about your files ripped using the CD rip function of RoonOS goes straight into your Roon database - never into your ripped files.
dBpoweramp looks up the metadata in the online sources that it uses and writes the metadata that it finds (or that you create) into its ripped files.
