No native DSD with USB - Mac Mini M1 Roon Core

Roon Core Machine

Mac mini m1 latest update

Connected Audio Devices

MacBook Pro as bridge USB to Audiolab 9000A

Description of Issue

DSD native do not show up in setting
Audiolab 9000A is Roon tested and DSD is supported

Others may correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think Macs do native DSD.
You’d have to use DoP or insert a Native DSD capable bridge between the Mac and the Audiolab

It is my understanding that native DSD isn’t possible on macOS unless the DAC manufacturer provides an ASIO driver. So, use DoP instead; it’s the same result, but you may be limited to DSD256 because of bandwidth constraints.

Can confirm I was getting Native DSD from Roon Core on Mac with ropieee and microRendu.

That’s because the DAC was connected to a Linux machine. The issue only occurs if the DAC is connected directly to a Mac.
