My UEFI build RoonOS (Version 1.0 (build 259) production) does not update to Version 2.1.
Always did my updates run automatically and with no problems.
This RoonOS update should also run automatically. I cannot find a way to start the update manually.
Can anybody give me advice?
You might also want to verify in your BIOS that it is actually using just UEFI. I thought mine was but it was actually UEFI+BIOS not just UEFI. After I updated the BIOS to just UEFI (and reinstalled Roon) it worked for me.
Thank you for your answer. I tried this and it appeared that the Boot was set to Legacy! And not to UEFI. So that’s the problem, I think.
However I use the UEFI shell. I thought that when I change the Boot from Legacy to UEFI, all was done. But then Roon was not accessible anymore and I had to change it back.
How can I solve this? Do I have to reinstall Roon to let it use UEFI Boot?
Thank you for your answer. However it is still the same Version.
Maybe because of Boot settings?
I think the best way is to reinstall. I just made sure I had a good back-up of the ROON database, then switched the BIOS settings and re-installed ROCK and restored from the back-up. It needs to be done this way so the bootloader switches to the UEFI from the MBR\BIOS bootloader.
Edit: Also make sure you have the ffmpeg file to put back in the codecs directory.
Thank you again for your help and advice. I managed.
