Can you elaborate on what you’re seeing here? What drives are not modifiable? In what way are you trying to modify them?

I apologize for starting yet another thread, but I’ve just wiped an 8tb drive, reformatted ExFat, tried to write another 8tb drive to it, and… 0. Nothing. It won’t do it. Is it because I’m trying to control it from a Mac?

Hi @Dan_Schwartz — exFAT should be compatible with macOS. Do you get any errors?

I didn’t delete that last drive after disconnect (which I did in order to reformat), due to nervousness. Maybe that’s the problem.

It seems like everything I try to do now that I’m on a NUC is forbidden.

I deleted the last drive title, since it didn’t seem to have a drive attached to it. Now nothing is there and it won’t mount. I’m shooting in the dark here, having rarely messed with Linux before.

As far as I know, it isn’t unusual in any way. Just an 8tb drive that is formatted ExFAT. It doesn’t show up under Data, but it does show up in Roon under storage. However, I can’t back up to it.

Nothing I do works. I’m SOL with this drive.

I’m stranded here.

I’m trying to take this drive, which until yesterday had like 6TB of back up material, now reformatted as ExFAT, and have it mount and be accessible from with Roon or Linux. It doesn’t show up from Linux, and within Roon doesn’t do anything.

Hello @Dan_Schwartz, to confirm, you cannot access the drive outside of Roon either?

Hello @Dan_Schwartz, I’d recommend trying to reformat the drive or trying another drive. Please let me know if you can get the drive working normally outside of Roon!
