Description Of Issue

In preparing for a move I recently disconnected an older Iomega external hard drive I used for my music files for Roon. I switched that out for a new LaCie 4TB External Hard Drive model #STHG4000400. They were both hooked up at the same time, the old Iomega was connected via Fire Wire 800, the LaCie via USB 2. I unhooked the old drive, ran my latest Roon back-up and after restarting the Mac I opened Roon and got the Message listed below.

"You’re already signed in

Your subscription allows you to sign in to 1 Roon Core at a time, but it looks like you’ve already set up another Core.
To connect to the Core you previously set up, just click go back above.
If you want to set up a new Core, you’ll need log out the device listed below or contact us to purchase another subscription"

I also tried the back command it suggested and it displayed the Roon logo for several hours without resetting back to the core. The bottom line is I cannot reconnect to my core in the Mac Mini with the LaCie drive – which contains my current music files.

I realize that my non-tech sensibilities failed to recognize the potential hazards of confusing the Roon software with both hard drives hooked in at the same time. I hope you can help me unwind this conundrum.

I am planning to upgrade to the new MacMini with SSD in the near future – so any information you have that will help me in making the transition to a new home for the Core would be greatly appreciated

I also want to add I love this software and how it has enhanced my music experience. This is the first I’ve really had any major issue – which is saying something since I’ve had the software for a number of years. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @Jim_Murray,

On that screen you should see an option that says “Unauthorize”. Click that and you should be good to go!
