Description of Issue

I have created a port forwarding rule but it’s not working I need help to fix the problem, not able to connect to my core with ARC.

Roon Core is a Mac Laptop Running Catalina (static IP)
Router is a Firewalla Gold
Endpoints are Bluesound speakers
Library is located on Synology NAS DS 220+

I have opened the port on the core (Mac Laptop) and set a reserved IP but I still get the error below when I try to connect with ARC. Please assist.

{
“ipv4_connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“external_ip”: {“actual_external_ip”:“216.ddd.eee.fff”,“actual_external_ipv6”:“null”,“router_external_ip”:“null”},
“natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“upnp_autoconfig”: {“server_ip”:“192.168.143.1”,“found_upnp”:true,“error”:“<s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\” s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/\“><s:Body><s:Fault>s:ClientUPnPError<UPnPError xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:control-1-0">718ConflictInMappingEntry</s:Fault></s:Body></s:Envelope>”}
}

Don’t know how SONICWALL/Firewalla Gold works, but have a look at what settings need to be changed in Draytek (which might give you an idea):

Hi @anon47110996,

The diagnostics appear to show a conflict in the port assignment that Roon has automatically selected in Roon → Settings → ARC.

I recommend changing this port number to something like 60000 or 50000 and trying again.

If that doesn’t work, then I recommend disabling UPnP and setting up a manual port forwarding rule in the router web GUI, as suggested above.

We’re here to support. Thank you!
