I don’t understand your post’s title “Not finding Roon OS”?

You state that your Roon Core machine is a MacBook Pro - this is running MacOS, not Roon OS.

You have another Support thread running in which the last post was a reply from @benjamin saying he would be following up the next steps with you in a Private Message.

What is the status of that? I had the impression that your Nucleus needed to be repaired - has this been done? Thank you.

Hi Geoff
The Nucleus has been sent off for repair.
I am using my Laptop as core , when I click on set up in settings then find , it can’t find
it .

Well, of course it can’t find a Roon OS in your home network - the Nucleus (which runs the Roon OS) is not present… :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve had the non-moving tracking thingy issue on occasion with my KDS. I only get it a couple of times a year - a reboot of the DS always resolves it.

RoonOS is not the Roon app it’s the operating system your Nucleus and Rock operate on. So you can’t use it to connect to Mac, it just for Nucleus and Rock cores. It’s confusing I admit, Roon has issue with terminology constantly. They need remove it and have it only show up when a RoonOs device is present on the network, that cannot be hard to do since they do it for Roon Ready.

Hi @stephen_ollerton,

@Geoff_Coupe is correct here, are you still running into issues using your mac as a temporary server?

Hi Everything is good with the MacBook.
Thanks.
