Not possible to update Silent Angel Rhein Z1 V2 to ROON 2.0

Dear ROON support,

I can not update ROON 1.8 to ROON 2.0 on my Silent Angel Rhein Z1 V2. The message I get is “not compatible (retry now)”. Can you help me.

I have merged numerous threads on this issue into one and moved to the Tinkering section as Silent Angel as a Roon Core is NOT officially supported by Roon.

If you look at: What does Roon work with? is say that Silent Angel is “Roon Ready” - or have I misunderstand something?

As @ged_hickman1 says the DAC is supported but units as a Roon Core are NOT I’m afraid.

Hi,

We had just released the updated Roon Server installation package. Please uninstall Roon Server in Z1 by clicking on the trash can icon in the upper-right corner of VitOS Manager Roon Server page, and then install it with VitOS Manager to install the updated version of Roon Server in Z1.

Was looking at the Silent Angel Z1 as a server - liked the price point & potential SQ improvement weighed against the Nucleus and Antipodes S40 - but not being Roon certified and now seeing issues like this has put me off.
