Description of Issue

When I plug in other endpoints like the BlueSound Node, they just show up in the Roon controller. But I can’t “find” the Rotel anywhere. Is it a Roon endpoint? The description says “Roon Ready” and you can even gwo month so aroon for free in the box on the Rotel.

What would I set the Rotel on on? There doesn’t seem to be an input for the “roon bridge” whatever they call the connection. I tried connecting the Small Green Computer to the Rotel with both a network cable and with a USB cord.

Thank you…

This amp is only classed as Roon Tested. This means it will work if connected to a Roon Bridge device or your Roon Core via USB connection only, so it operates as DAC. Connect it up via USB cable and it should show up connected to the Bridge device or core in Roons Audio Settings section where you enable it. If it does not show up connected to the core I would check if the core is actually registering it all under its operating system, I would contact their support if not.

Hi @Andrew_McGinley,

We’ve taken a look at basic diagnostics for your RoonServer and don’t see the Rotel 1590 MK-2 listed in the audio ecosystem; it hasn’t registered with Roon’s discovery service anytime in the current log period.

Have you tried via USB? If you need to install the latest USB driver offered by Rotel for this device, you can find it at this link.
