Not streaming Tidal

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)
Roon Nucleus.

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)
Xfinity modem connected by ethernet.

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)
Auralic Aries Mini is the Roon Endpoint.

Description Of Issue
Everything has been working fine, I can switch to the Auralic Lightning app and it will stream Tidal fine, but it won’t work in Roon.

When launching to play a track from Tidal, I’m getting two messages:

  • “The track is currently not available from Tidal”
  • “Too many failures, stopping playback”

Have not ever seen this before, what’s happening?

I am running Roon off the NAS (not a Nucleus). When I get the errors message you describe, I either stop and restart Roon (that usually solves it) or I reboot the NAS. Works every time.

Rebooting the machine regularly is hardly a solution.

Hi @Kurt_Nelson,

Is there any change if you reboot the Nucleus?

If you play to System Output of a remote instead of the Auralic is there any change in behavior?

Happens once every couple of months. Is this problem happening to you all the time?

That worked. Thanks for the help

A post was split to a new topic: Can’t login to TIDAL - Error

Hi @Kurt_Nelson,

I’m glad to hear that rebooting helped! Can you elaborate a bit on exactly what happened so we can better understand the issue you experienced? Was TIDAL content just not working on launch?

Was there any change to your TIDAL subscription/account recently?
