Notes/Tags for Listen Later

Following the introduction of Listen Later, I think Roon should allow tags for non-library items.

Listen Later would be even better if we could tag the artists/albums/songs with the reason (recommendation from a friend, from a review, etc.) why they are on the list. I fear my Listen Later backlog will get bigger and bigger and I won’t remember why some items are on the list.

I’d love this. It doesn’t have to be too sophisticated to be valuable for me - maybe something as simple as multiple Listen Later categories? For example:

  1. I get piles of new stuff to listen to on friday
  2. I intentionally explore not-new stuff as little projects, like when I want to listen to one artists massive catalog, but i’m not ready to just add 25 albums to my library
  3. random recs

So for me, something like tags for LL would make sense.

Kinda silly, but after using it for a few weeks, I’m actually not starving for this feature as much as I expected. I still think it’d be cool to tag items in your Listen Later though they aren’t necessarily in your library. I’d definitely be content with simple standard tagging, and not a separate listen-later tag/recommendation/source system.

The ability to add notes on any track/album (not just Listen Later items) would be awesome.
