After playing an album Roon displays the “nothing playing” message against a black background. However, let’s say I searched for Traffic and opened their discography, wanting to play their first album and then choose another Traffic album. I would expect tapping the back button would take me back to the discography, but no, I have to repeat all the initial steps to return to that page.
Am I overlooking an easier solution? And why can’t the last played album remain on screen when it’s finished? Thanks for any tips!
What are you using when playing music, phone, tablet, computer. And which screen are you talking about, the Queue or the Now Playing screen. Both show that message when all the music is finished.
But, generally, either with take you back to the screen you started the album or track playing from.
If I am in Genesis’ discography, right click Foxtrot and Choose Play Now, then when done, if I hit the back button it will take me to the Discography. If instead I go to the album Foxtrot and start it playing there, then when done, the back button will take me back to that album screen.
I use an android tablet and have a Nucleus
Just after I uploaded my post I played a Max Richter album and when that ended, the screen did not go to black, so it is not clear why the issue is not consistent.
I almost never use the queue screen, actually, so this was on the now playing screen.
I will try to find out exactly when the issue occult and when not.
